Webhooks make license delivery easier
Send keys to users immediately after payment with our new webhook system.

System Locker webhooks make license delivery seamless. You connect your storefront, map the products you sell to the keys you want issued, and notify System Locker when payment is received. System Locker then returns the keys for the customer.
Set the policy once, then let orders do the rest
Webhook mappings connect a product to its license settings. Configure the system, product, number of keys per unit, expiry, notes, and eligible options in advance. Those settings are applied automatically to each key we generate for that webhook.
Mappings can easily be added to distinguish between different products or variants, and different storefronts. SellAuth sales can be differentiated from your other sales. Maximum flexibility supports diverse licensing needs.
Resists errors
Problems with payment platforms and networks can cause issues, but those issues should never cause a customer to receive duplicate licenses.
Webhook delivery records the paid item and its delivery identity. Retried webhooks cause System Locker to return the original response and original keys rather than issuing a new batch. That gives your checkout a safe recovery path when the first response never makes it back.
For custom storefronts, save the exact request body and delivery identifier with the order item before sending it. The webhook guide covers the signing and retry rules in full.
Where webhooks fit best
SellAuth storefront
Use Dynamic Delivery to send the completed sale straight to your system mapping.
Custom checkout
Send a signed paid order item from your backend after your payment provider confirms it.
Bot or internal tool
Use the Management API when a command or support workflow needs its own decision-making.
Webhooks are the best solution for sales: for example, when using a 3rd party platform for sales, or when your custom code is primarily used for handling sales. When the goals are more diverse, the Management API may make more sense, since it supports far more use cases. Most businesses can use both: webhooks for storefront sales and the API for everything after the sale.
We're here to help
For the time being, we support SellAuth and DIY webhook implementations. If this doesn't meet your needs, let us know and we'll work with you to find a solution. We plan to support more platforms in the future.
