Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started
What is a system?+
A system is usually an app or a feature within an app or program. Each system is distinct, and can be managed and licensed independently.
What's the difference between users, developers, and resellers?+
Developers create, sell, and manage their app or program. Users are the end consumers who interact with the app or program. Resellers are intermediaries who sell the app or program on behalf of the developer.
Can users sign into multiple products with one account?+
Yes. Users can have one account connected to multiple apps or programs from multiple different developers, which keeps onboarding simple while preserving per-system key and access controls.
Security & Auth
How does HWID locking work?+
Keys lock to a hardware identifier based on your system rules. It's your choice what best constitutes a hardware identifier.
You can let users self-reset on an interval, or keep resets fully manual through developer/admin controls.
What were "Mikros" and "Goliath"?+
Those names were used to describe the two authentication methods we used to offer; Goliath required a username and password, while Mikros only required a key.
What happened to "Mikros" and "Goliath"?+
Quicksilver is a much stronger authentication API. It has been thoroughly tested, and it has proven to be the most secure thanks to its use of regular heartbeat checks and other features.
Quicksilver is the strongest authentication API we currently offer, and it's the only one we recommend for use in production.
Does Quicksilver support both account- and key-based auth?+
Yes. When you send an authentication request to Quicksilver, it will automatically detect which method you're using and handle it accordingly.
Keys & Users
Can I bulk-create keys and set expiration windows?+
Yes. Bulk generation and expiration options are built in, including short-term windows useful for trials, promos, and support-issued temporary access.
Can I track keys by campaign, reseller, or customer segment?+
Yes. Key notes and system-level grouping make segmentation straightforward. Most teams use this to separate direct sales, affiliates, private channels, and special event drops.
My program had to go offline for a bit. Can I compensate my users with additional time?+
Yes. You can extend the validity of keys or accounts on any system you own to compensate users for downtime.
Resellers & API
Where are the admin accounts?+
Reseller accounts and admin accounts are not distinguished by name. Typically, admin accounts will have permission to see all keys and reset HWIDs, while reseller accounts have key generation permission only.
How does the reseller workflow operate?+
Resellers get scoped access to key generation and key status for the products you authorize. You retain control over pricing strategy and permissions while reducing manual fulfillment work.
Can I integrate with my own panel, bot, or backend?+
Yes. The API is designed for external automation such as bots, Discord bridges, in-app details, and internal operations tools. You can keep your user experience while delegating auth lifecycle handling.
Billing & Support
Why are your prices higher than Auth.GG or KeyAuth?+
System Locker is the most stable authentication and licensing provider on the market. We have minimal downtime, best-in-class support, and we respect your privacy. Our prices reflect the quality and reliability of our service, and the math still adds up to just a few cents per user.
Can I change plans later?+
Yes. Most teams start on a smaller tier, validate their flow, then move up as user volume and feature needs grow.
The price of your upgrade will be pro-rated based on your current plan.
Where can I get support?+
Use the support Discord for fastest response. DM @American.Wang, and be sure to include as many details as you have. Providing details allows us to assist faster.
