Reseller programs
Run a reseller program without handing over the keys to everything.
Give trusted sellers the access they need to serve customers, and keep the rules, limits, and ownership of your software with you.
Resellers can help you reach customers you would not reach alone. They also create a new operational boundary: they should be able to do their job without receiving the same access as the developer who owns the product.
Give each reseller a purpose-built portal
System Locker provides a reseller portal instead of requiring shared developer credentials. You can assign permissions based on the work a reseller actually does, whether that is creating keys, managing existing customer keys, or handling a limited part of support.
That separation makes it easier to change access when a partnership changes. You can update or disable a reseller account without moving your systems or giving every seller a new set of developer credentials.
Set a real limit on key generation
A reseller allowance can be added as an overall key limit or a limit by duration. If a seller is authorized to issue a fixed number of one-month keys, for example, the allowance is checked and reduced when that key is generated.
This gives you a practical way to run prepaid batches, trial campaigns, or tiered reseller agreements without turning key inventory into a spreadsheet problem. You choose the allowance and can change it as the relationship develops.
Keep a clear view of customer access
The developer portal remains the place where you manage your systems and review what is happening across them. Authentication logs and key information help you investigate a support issue or confirm that a reseller's activity matches the agreement you made.
Start with one reseller and a narrow permission set. Once the day-to-day process is working, expand the allowance or add new sellers with the same structure instead of inventing a separate process for each one.
